JACKSONVILLE, Florida, April 15, 2010 ? Safariland, a BAE Systems line of business, announces that Cisko Kid, otherwise known as Gil Guerra, Jr., wearing Bianchi Cowboy competition gear, was awarded the overall Champion title in the 4^th annual Beretta Fastest Gun Alive World Championship, in Fallon, Nevada, in late 2009.

Sanctioned by The Cowboy Fast Draw Association (CFDA), the event drew competitors from the United States and three other countries. Using a prototype Bianchi Cowboy design modeled off the competitive shooting Clearwater holster rig, as well as a new model Ruger Vaquero in .45 Colt, Cisko Kid beat out over 140 other competitors for the World Championship title.

Constructed of premium grade, vegetable-tanned leather, the Clearwater holster is fully reinforced with corrosion-resistant steel and designed with a flared top and full-grain lining for quick, efficient draw and re-holstering. It provides a friction fit and a full-length Sight Channel™. A hidden tension adjustment allows for a fast, smooth draw while a fully customizable belt mounting system allows the cant of the holster to be changed to best match the shooter. The Clearwater Belt, constructed of full-grain, vegetable-tanned leather is suede-lined 2 1/4" belt with roller buckle and features tapered ends for comfort in addition to cartridge loops in .32, .38, or .45 calibre.

"I like to think of CFDA as a hybrid of the speed of Fast Draw, with the authenticity and Old West feel of SASS shooting," said Cisko Kid. The World Championship match consists of a man-on-man elimination. Shooting side by side at individual targets at 21 feet, the shooters shoot from the hip with single action revolvers using wax bullets. The competition is a 4x elimination, which means a shooter has to lose four times on three out of five shots to be out of the match.
